In Summary

One of our personal favourites by Artist George Rose. Earlier this year we were engaged by our friends at Lendlease Melbourne Quarter, a thriving urban neighbourhood in the heart of Melbourne, for International Woman’s Day to express this years theme #BreakTheBias

Break the Bias is aimed at confronting deliberate and unconscious gender biases in our workplaces, schools and communities. On weekdays during business hours, visitors were able to go to the One Melbourne Quarter lobby to experience an interactive video gallery, sharing the stories of six speakers and their stories of breaking the bias.

"I've always been interested in the perceived connection between femininity and the flower which is found embedded in most cultures. Flowers such as the venus flytrap, or the orchid have been closely linked to fertility and femininity, possibly due to their appearance, with the venus flytrap obtaining the obscure slang name of "tippy twitchet"
