A 30 Metre, hand-painted mural artwork for the vibrant new King Street redevelopment in Brisbane
In May 2019 we were tasked with a 30 metre glass canvas and a brief to capture the liveliness and energy of King Street, Bowen Hills (Brisbane). It was without hesitation that we reached out to our friend and artist Allan Wrath. A masterful mixer of strong conceptual, compositional, typographic and illustrative elements, New Zealand-based illustrator and muralist, Allan Wrath has drawn his latest inspiration from the hyperlocal landscape of Bowen Hills. Using his signature quirky expressions to spread positivity, Wrath has spared no detail to capture all that is King Street through pattern, symbolism and the incorporation of local gems.
